The next meeting of the Lucerne Valley Economic Development Association will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 1 at the Senior Center.
To be discussed at the meeting:
• The drought including restrictions in place and how it affects the community, and its economic consequences
• The status of hauled water and we the community is with the county on the topic, also adjudication and issues affecting Lucerne Valley.
• The Rural Water Association working with local mutual water companies, grants, local programs, etc.
• The State's 25 percent water conservation goal, currently only for customers of municipal/urban systems of certain sizes.
• The State’s pending groundwater management. plan and how and if it would affect our adjudicated basin. Plus the normal updates, need questions for our health survey, etc.
